TLC - Easy Accessibility Hacks

"Sometimes we don't have our store-bought technology available to us so we have to customize; we have to go back to our roots and build what we need."

Welcome to our first edition of Easy Accessibility Hacks. This newsletter includes three quick learn activities on these topics:

  • How to turn a mouse into a single switch.
  • How to create a keyboard cover wrist rest for a laptop.
  • How to create a keyboard cover with a built-in single switch.

Nancy Hoppe, Assistive Technology Specialist and Occupational Therapist, is the developer and presenter on each of these quick learns. Additional resources are also included.

Have fun exploring ways to meet student accessibility needs with household items!
