June 2021 Newsletter
Celebrating Homeownership Month
June is National Homeownership Month and this year, TSAHC partnered up with Down Payment Resource and some of our top lenders to bring Texans everything they need to know about buying a home with down payment assistance (DPA). Below are some of the resources we've featured this month:
New DPA FAQ Videos
We kicked off Homeownership Month by introducing a brand new video which addresses the five most frequently asked questions about our down payment assistance programs. Also included in this release were five short videos dedicated to directly answering the questions from the main video. View all video FAQs here.
Debunking the Top Five DPA Myths
In collaboration with Down Payment Resource, we brought home buyers the facts on down payment assistance by addressing the top five myths surrounding DPA. Stay informed by reading this blog post and tuning into our latest podcast episode for a more in-depth conversation.
Free Home Buyer Education Codes
TSAHC teamed up with BBVA to offer discount codes for the Framework home buyer education course for borrowers in Dallas, Hidalgo, Jefferson, Lubbock, Tarrant, and Webb counties. This means that home buyers using our programs will be able to complete their required course at no cost. Loan officers working for a TSAHC-Approved mortgage company must register their home buyers for access to the free code.
Those Darn DPAs! - The MythBusters Edition Webinars
In partnership with Down Payment Resource and a number of our top performing loan officers, we hosted a virtual training for lenders and REALTORS® earlier this month. This webinar not only dispelled the common misconceptions surrounding down payment assistance programs, but it also provided lenders and real estate agents with resources for working with down payment assistance programs. Be sure to check out the webinar recording and the recap on our blog for more information.
