Habitat Homeowner Spotlight
Welcome Home Leticia, Abraham, Analei, and Adela!
Meet Leticia and family. Leticia is a single mom of three children Abraham (14), Analei (11), and Adela (3). For the past 2 years she has worked as a hair stylist and has lived in the Tri-City area most of her life.

Leticia’s home is the third home Tri-County Partners has completed during the Covid-19 pandemic. And we could not have done it without her partnership. She is a proven hard worker skilled in accomplishing just about any task from the construction site, at the Habitat Store, to administrative support in the office. After her home dedication she has even returned to volunteer her time on the other Habitat homes under construction on her street. Thank you, Leticia!

During the time that the construction site was closed to volunteers and homeowners Leticia brought lunch for the small crews that were able to be on the site. After Covid restrictions were lifted she spent every day and every available hour completing her sweat equity commitment and completed the majority of her 500 sweat equity hours on her own. Well Done!
With her additional time off during stay-at-home orders, Leticia refurbished used furniture that she will use in her new home. We are excited to see how her decorating skills come into play as she makes her new house a home.

Leticia is very grateful to be a part of the Habitat community and we are so proud to have her as a homeowner partner. It was important to her that she acknowledged and thanked everyone in the Habitat family and the many people who helped Leticia achieve this dream for her own family, including: store and office staff and volunteers, construction site crews, crew leads, other Habitat homeowner partners (and now neighbors!), community volunteers, and even store shoppers. It took a Habitat village to achieve her dream.

Congratulations Leticia!
Construction Updates
This year we have completed 4 homes, 2 in Kennewick and 2 in Pasco. That's 4 local families that we have been able to help because of your support. Our new subdivision on South Cedar Avenue in Pasco is underway. It will have 11 homes, the first of which was begun in April.

Six homes are currently under construction on South Cedar Avenue in Pasco, with the first one scheduled to be complete in October.

Volunteer
After 3 months of carefully monitoring the changing situations, we at Habitat for Humanity – TCP are excited to announce that we will be beginning to open up our construction sites to a limited number of volunteers. Please help us build up the lives of our community.

We will be working in Pasco Monday-Wednesday, and Friday-Saturday 8am-2:30pm. We are committed to providing a safe environment and encourage all volunteers to practice safe social distancing practices while at the site.

  • No experience required. Just an openness and willingness to learn.
  • For those of you with a little more experience and expertise, we are also looking for a few crew leads willing to help all of our volunteers succeed.

We also have opportunities in the Habitat Store which is now open for in-store shopping.
