Adventurers Storytime: Apples & Applesauce

Tuesday, November 7th @ 10:00am


Join Ms. Tanya for stories, songs, games, and activities. For ages 3-5. 


Bring one apple peeled and sliced to add to our homemade applesauce. 


Caretaker participates with their child or children. Children should be able to sit through a story. Siblings welcome.

Dino the Therapy Dog

Come meet Dino, the therapy dog. Dino is a St. Bernard who loves to be petted.

Borderline Spinners

This is the regularly scheduled meeting of the Borderline Spinners - a group that meets to share their mutual interest in wool spinning and all kinds of yarn-based art projects. The group normally meets in the Community Room, but might be switched to the Children's Programming Room if a larger event needs the Community Room. No registration required.

Introduction to Zentangle

Wednesday, November 8th @ 1:00pm


Zentangle is a meditative, abstract art form that anyone can do. You can use your own supplies or buy a kit at the event for $10.


  • White Zentangle tile (3.5 in square), OR
  • Apprentice tile (4.5 in square), OR
  • cardstock cut to a similar size, 
  • Black micron pen from Sakura, and
  • Size 01 or PN (plastic nib) Graphite pencil Tortillon (blending stump

 

Each $10 kit contains 5 tiles (squares of watercolor paper,) a black Micron pen, a pencil, a tortillon, and examples of Zentangle tiles.

Candle Making Workshop

Wednesday, November 8th @ 6:00pm


This program is sponsored in part by the Friends of the Library of Hudson, NH.

This workshop is an introduction to candle making. We will discuss types of candles and which waxes are best suited for which type of candle, wick sizes, heat resistant containers and their sizes, the difference between essential oils and fragrance oils and complete instructions on how to burn a candle.

Access Wisdom Book Club: "The Four Tendencies"

Certified life coach Diane MacKinnon leads a bookclub highlighting books that help us all gain more access to our own wisdom. We’ll discuss a range of books, from self-help to memoir to creative nonfiction, that give us insight into our own minds and help us take action and live out our values.
