The Homestead Neighborhood Association normally meets the First Tuesday of every month,7 p m at the OHSU Child Development and Rehabilitation Center; 707 SW Gaines, Third Floor. 

The Homestead Neighborhood Association will meet Tuesday, November 6 at 7 pm at the OHSU Child Development and Rehabilitation Center, 3 rd floor.  707 SW Gaines. Parking is available.
The agenda will include a presentation by OHSU of a "concept plan" for the SW Connector westward from Terwilliger Boulevard up to OHSU.  This presentation will not include the portion from Barbur to Terwilliger.  The SW Connector is part of the over-all Light Rail project.


City Council will vote on a  resolution to adopt the Southwest Corridor Light Rail Project Preferred Alternative .  This agenda item is a resolution and will be heard

Many Homestead residents recently prepared comments for City Council regarding the SW Corridor Project and of particular interest to Homestead residents, the SW Connector (from Barbur to OHSU) portion of this project.  Other neighborhood organizations were also very active meeting with Council members and sending letters.  Many of us are hopeful that City Council will encourage Metro and Tri-Met to delay the fast track of this project and back up a bit so they can review the decisions and outcomes more carefully.  

It is not too late  to submit your comments.  If you cannot attend and wish to submit your written testimony reference Council Agenda Item No.1135 or the SW Corridor Plan, send to the Council Clerk at


The  Homestead Neighborhood Emergency Team (NET) will have an organizational meeting on  November 10th from Noon to 2pm at the Hillsdale Library . If you are interested in attending this meeting, send an email to . or just show up at the library meeting room at noon on the 10 th .

PBEM NET page: .  You will be able to read all about the trainings, dates available and how to sign up.  There are several residents trained by PBEM (Portland Bureau of Emergency Management), but more members will be needed.
