The promise of spring and the dawning of new beginnings
Imbolc, an old agrarian holiday celebrated around February 2nd, marks the halfway point between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox.  As with many farmers, this season is dear to us, as it marks an exciting time of swift transition, out of winter's bosom and into busy preparation for the coming year -- the first seeds are planted and mamma goats are swelling round.

As the farm heads into a new growing season (with old roots and fresh starts!) we want to say a heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this spring season possible for us by supporting GeerCrest Farm during the first annual Winter Fund giving campaign. We look forward to seeing you on the farm in 2017! -- bring your friends, family, prominent politicians ... but no more big smelly male goats, please. Now, more than ever, is a time for us come together, renewing our connection to the land and each other.
