We’re excited to introduce Gavin Smith, our summer intern through the PA CareerLink Huntingdon County program! Gavin is a student at Juniata Valley High School and joined the Chamber team last Monday.
In just a short time, he’s already made a big impact—jumping right in to help with our Annual Golf Tournament and handling unexpected challenges (like our surprise air conditioner failure!) with flexibility and a positive attitude.
We’re thrilled to have Gavin with us for the summer and know he’ll continue to be a great asset to our team. If you see him at an event or around the office, be sure to say hello and get to know this rising star!

On Wednesday, June 18th, we had the pleasure of hosting Business After Hours at the incredible Swigart Museum—America’s Oldest Antique Automobile Museum!
Attendees enjoyed an evening surrounded by timeless automotive history, with a chance to explore rare and fascinating vehicles—some dating all the way back to 1896! From classic designs to unique stories behind each car, it was truly a step back in time.
While taking in the museum’s impressive collection, guests also indulged in delicious refreshments and great company. Thank you to the Swigart Museum team for an unforgettable experience!
If you haven’t visited yet, this local gem is a must-see!

On Friday, June 20th, we partnered with The Playhouse at McConnellstown to host a killer good time—and it was a night to remember!
Chamber members kicked off the evening with a special reception before the curtain rose at 7:30 p.m. Guests were treated to secret passageways, slapstick comedy, musical numbers, and a twist-filled mystery that kept everyone guessing: Who is the Stage Door Slasher?
The energy, laughter, and suspense made for an unforgettable whodunnit experience, and we were thrilled to support our incredible local theatre talent.
A huge THANK YOU to our generous sponsors who made this exciting new event possible:
Lincoln Caverns
Musser Sewer & Septic, LLC
Tastes of Home, LLC
We’re so grateful to The Playhouse team for all of their hard work and a fantastic performance—and to everyone who joined us for a night of fun, community, and live entertainment!

Did you know........
Small businesses represent the largest segment by number of most local chamber membership rolls. Results in the research study by The Shapiro Group, Inc. and Market Street indicate the impact of local chamber membership on small businesses is very powerful. If a consumer knows a small business is a member of its local chamber, the business enjoys a 44 percent increase in its consumer favorability rating, a 51 percent increase in consumer awareness, a 57 percent increase in its local reputation and a 63 percent increase in the likelihood that consumers will patronize the business in the future.
Research indicates that chamber membership stimulates business-to-business commerce in the local community. Other businesses in town are more likely to do business with you and your company if you are a member of the local chamber. Because a major part of a small business typically comes from business-to-business services, it is essential to maintain a positive standing within the local business community.
