Good News for Returning Families!

Good Afternoon Honey Creek Families,

We are happy to say that returning families will no longer have to complete the long online Family & Student Information fall registration forms. Instead, you simply need to review a pre-printed and individualized contact sheet, provide any updates to the information necessary, sign and return.

You can review and complete your form:

In the office after August 29 during school hours
Community Picnic on August 30
Open House on August 31

Like previous year's registration materials, a signed contact sheet is required for every student even if there have been no changes to any information from last year. Please make it a priority as the first day of school approaches.

New families to Honey Creek do not have to review/submit a contact sheet. The initial enrollment paperwork you have or are completing with Mariolga satisfies all of our requirements.

Open House 2023: We are adding a new pre-school event this year to enable students and parents to visit our classrooms and teachers prior to the first day of school. This Open House will take place on Thursday, August 31 from 2:00 to 3:30 pm. Each of our classroom teachers will be available in their classrooms and information tables for the board of trustees, PTO, interventionists, special ed and administrative teams will be available to you in the cafeteria.

We hope this event will help initiate close and effective home/school communication for the year ahead. It's also a good way to help our students get more comfortable with returning to school which can often be anxiety producing for some. We hope to see you there.

Sign Up for Direct Text Alerts

School Closures & Urgent News

We encourage every Honey Creek family to sign up for our direct text alert system to receive text alerts about school closings and other urgent news. This service will only be used for inclement weather days and other interruptions to normal operations that require your immediate attention. Last year's power outage would be one exmaple. Please sign up here . If you signed up last year, you do not need to do so again.

System Test: We will be testing this system at 1 pm on Friday, August 25. Next Sunday, we will repost the sign up link in case you didn't receive your test alert.

Attention Current and Future Runners!

Honey Creek parent Will Meurer is interested in sponsoring a 5th to 8th grade cross country team this fall. To gauge student and family interest, he's asked that we share the following survey. If your child or children may be interested and to learn more, click below.

Fall Open House

Thurs., Aug. 31 ~ 2:00 to 3:30 pm

As we prepare welcome nearly 40 new families to Honey Creek and introduce 40% of our returning students to a new teacher, we are happy to host a before-school Open House on Thursday, August 31 from 2:00 to 3:30 pm.

During your visit, you can meet with our teachers in their classrooms or learn more about our board, PTO, academic interventions and special services in the cafeteria.

This event is perfect for families who may have missed the picnic or are new to Honey Creek but all are welcome!

Honey Creek After-Care 2023-24

There's Much to do After School at Honey Creek!

We're looking forward to another fun and busy year of after school programming at Honey Creek. All after school clubs and activities fall under the Honey Creek After School Program. All students who wish to participate in any after school club, sport, care, or activity (except children participating ONLY in Girl Scouts, A2 Rec & Ed, or other groups which carry their own insurance) must be enrolled in the Honey Creek After School Program.

If your child has already attended camp this summer, you only need to add the "After School Enrollment 2023" registration if you have not already done so.
