Honeysuckle Farm by Kansas Troubles Quilters is a nod to wildflowers and the designer's relaxed approach to gardening where she likes to dig a little in the dirt, plant a seed and see what happens. Kind of sounds like making a scrappy style quilt - have some fun and let it grow.

The collection of deep blues, plums, mulberry, greens and golds paired with soft neutrals speaks to the warmth and comfort of a rustic country lifestyle. Designer, Lynne Hagmeier's signature colours and prints make this collection easily recognizable as a traditional Kansas Troubles collection.

Demo Day Recap

Thank you to those of you who joined us in the shop Friday morning for our Demo Day. Judy inspired all of us with her demonstration of Broderie Perse, a classic applique technique that works equally well with today's fabrics as it did with 17th century chintz textiles.

We were also treated to some beautiful projects in our Show and Share portion of Demo.

From Your Beloved Editor ......

Demo Day was very well attended last week. Did you notice how beautifully arranged the chairs were? Symmetrical and colour coordinated - a rare combination! A masterful display of organizational ability if I dare say so. Guess who set them up?

Only four more sleeps until the Quilted Stash trunk show. It snowed today in St. John's. That doesn't really impact the trunk show in any way - I just thought you should know. Norine and I went to a concert this afternoon featuring a band from Newfoundland just to get in the spirit of things. Also not really relevant to the trunk show but indicative of how excited we are. There's still time to register. Now would be a good time......
