Greetings!

As I write this, Notre Dame in Paris is engulfed by flames and I’m riveted to the television, sorrowful and in tears. And then, although it’s Spring, 20 states are experiencing record snow storms, and then in Southern California more wildfires! Like you, I’m reeling, and send my thoughts for your safety and well-being.

And here it is, the day I write you my greeting for this newsletter. In the light of the news this morning, I’m grateful for this pleasant interlude.

You will see below a photo of a used blade and its attendant note that I received from a customer (who happens to live in my neighborhood!). I hope you enjoy it as much as I. We joke here about customers not using up our blades as quickly as we’d like. But we do that to ourselves: making blades that hold up to quality standards, to hold their value. I like that in the products I purchase and want no less for you.

Also, please look at the list of upcoming workshops that feature making tools using Hock blades, and workshops about maintaining handtools. This is Linda’s second list for 2019. She’s found workshops in the United States, Germany, the U.K. and Australia. If you offer workshops meeting the criteria, please feel free to let us know. We’d like to keep these lists going, two or three times a year.

By the way -- The Perfect Edge is finally in stock! Thanks for your patience - if you have a book on back order, it will be arriving soon by mail.

Of course, if there’s anything you need from Hock Tools, please let me know.
