Historical Tidbit: Dividing up Bridgewater

West Bridgewater was first settled in 1651 as a part of Old Bridgewater.
For the first 200 years, our seat of government was located here in West Bridgewater.

At the November 1821 town meeting, it was voted to "be expedient to divide the town of Bridgewater into
4 townships." It was at that meeting that East Bridgewater, West Bridgewater, North Bridgewater (Brockton) and Bridgewater were conceived.
West Bridgewater was incorporated in 1822.

Let's take a moment. A peaceful moment. Put aside the craziness and rushed ness of life.

And appreciate. Honor.

Without those that serve in our military, we wouldn't be blessed with this life; with the abilities to shape it, the freedoms to live it, and the forums to speak our mind.

They earned freedom and I will forever be grateful.

“A veteran is someone who, at one point in their life wrote a blank check made payable to “The United States of America,” for an amount up to and including their life.” ~ Unknown.
So let's take a moment.
