Honor Heroes With Every Mile This Giving Tuesday

Help the Alliance Prepare for the 25th Anniversary in 2026

As the nation approaches the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, preparations are underway for a powerful moment of remembrance and reflection. For many, the events of that day remain a vivid, personal memory. For younger generations, September 11th is a story learned through education and shared history.

The 9/11 National Memorial Trail is a 1,500-mile multi-use route that connects the nation's three memorials in New York City, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. The Trail serves as a living tribute to all the heroes who lost their lives that day.

This Giving Tuesday, the Alliance is seeking support to accomplish the meaningful initiatives listed below. Now is a crucial time to contribute. In 2026, both the 25th Anniversary of 9/11 and the 250th Anniversary of the United States will coincide. Together, these events offer an opportunity to reflect on shared history, commemorate resilience, and strengthen the work that carries remembrance forward.

A contribution on Giving Tuesday strengthens three priority efforts leading into the 25th Anniversary:

  1. Building the 9/11 Trail – Completing purpose-built connections near the Flight 93 National Memorial

  2. Planning Critical Trail Links – including the Pottsville-to-Jim Thorpe corridor

  3. Education & Signage – the 2026 Pennsylvania signage initiative

Support these efforts today to help advance the work that will shape the 9/11 National Memorial Trail's impact in 2026 and beyond.
