June is Veterans PTSD Awareness Month — a time to recognize the invisible wounds of war and support the mental health of the brave men and women who have served our country.

The Warren County Foundation is proud to partner with the Warren County Veterans Suicide Prevention Coalition to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and connect veterans to life-saving resources.

The Warren County Veterans Suicide Prevention Coalition is a nonprofit organization formed in December 2021. The Coalition was established through a collaboration between the Warren County Veterans Services and the Countryside YMCA, with guidance and support from the Dayton VA Medical Center and the Mental Health & Recovery Board of Warren and Clinton Counties.

Dr. Charles Dilgard

The Warren County Foundation knew him as Dr. Charles K. Dilgard, a man whose genuine love for people was reflected in his leadership as WCF Treasurer and Interim Coordinator, and his remarkable service to the community. Charles played a vital role in guiding the Foundation during its formative years and helping establish the strong foundation upon which it continues to build today.
