It is with the utmost privilege we honor a legendary leader in the New Haven community. Barbara Tinney has tirelessly dedicated over 20 years to being a change agent and a voice for social equality. She has worked in the social work field for over 30 years including as a professor at Southern Connecticut State University. Barbara remains committed to social justice, economic and education equity, strengthening families and supporting parents, family wellness, youth development and community building. Her passion has influenced various community leaders and impacted the lives of thousands of children and family. Her legacy will continue to thrive through the endurance and replication of a truthful and value driven lifestyle.
