This Earth Month feels different than any other.
But as fellow stewards of the Earth, we hope you’ll take comfort in the knowledge that
nature continues its cycles while our world is paused. Everywhere you look, spring is in bloom. Flowers are blossoming, trees are budding, birdsong fills the air, and new life is all around — one member of our team is even tracking the growth of tadpoles in her backyard!
This excerpt from beloved nature poet Mary Oliver’s “Wild Geese” feels especially appropriate these days:
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.
