Honoring Mary, Queen of Apostles
During the month of May, Catholics traditionally honor the Blessed Virgin Mary. Under her title Queen of Apostles, Mary is the Patroness of the Catholic Apostolate Center, and inspires the Center's mission.

"The perfect example of this type of spiritual and apostolic life is the most Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Apostles, who while leading the life common to all here on earth, one filled with family concerns and labors, was always intimately united with her Son and in an entirely unique way cooperated in the work of the Savior. Having now been assumed into heaven, with her maternal charity she cares for these brothers of her Son who are still on their earthly pilgrimage and remain involved in dangers and difficulties until they are led into the happy fatherland. All should devoutly venerate her and commend their life and apostolate to her maternal care"

In Infinite Ways Podcast
The Catholic Apostolate Center is pleased to announce the launch of our newest episode of our podcast In Infinite Ways. Hosted by Center Director of Programs, Jonathan Sitko, and Project Coordinator, Brian Rhude, it features monthly interviews with leaders in the Catholic Church, both lay and religious, volunteers and employees. With our theme of "Reviving Faith, Rekindling Charity, and Forming Apostles", we hope these interviews remind all the baptized of their mission to serve both the Church and the world in whatever way God calls them.

In this episode of In Infinite Ways, Brian Rhude chats with Julie Bradley, Director of Evangelization and Parish Formation at St. Paul Catholic Church in Cranston, Rhode Island, to discuss her journey to become a leader in her parish, which began as a question from her pastor.
Eucharistic Revival Webinar Series and Resources
The Catholic Apostolate Center has been collaborating with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) on a series of webinars surrounding the Eucharistic Revival and would encourage anyone participating in the revival, which is running through 2025, to view our webinar series for Diocesan Ministry leaders. Through its mission: “To renew the Church by enkindling a living relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist”, the Eucharistic Revival is a process of cultivating a deeper love for the Eucharistic Lord in dioceses, parishes, and individuals so as to engage and transform the world. Click here to watch the webinar series.

The Catholic Apostolate Center has created a resource page including a variety of national, diocesan, and regional resources that will be updated regularly throughout the next three years. Included on the page are webinars co-created between the Center and the USCCB; Son Rise Morning show segments with Fr. Frank Donio, S.A.C. about the Revival; and other Center materials related to the Eucharist.
Catholic Apostolate Center Feast Day Website
The Catholic Apostolate Center invites you to visit our Catholic Feast Days website which can be found in both English and Spanish. This resource compiles information on feast days, solemnities of saints and blesseds, as well as other important feasts on the liturgical calendar. We have recently added new content to our site including one new saint or blessed per week for every week in the year. The newly- added feast we celebrated last week was Bl. Sandra Sabattini. We hope this additional information on these saints and blesseds helps you learn about more holy men and women of the Church.

As we approach summertime, we compiled a list of common pilgrimage sites throughout the United States. This list includes basilicas, shrines, and other places of pilgrimage throughout the country. There is at least one place in every state, so there is always somewhere to go. We encourage you to look at our list as you plan your trips this summer.

Saint Dymphna
Join the Catholic Apostolate Center in celebrating the birthday of Saint Dymphna on May 15.

St. Dymphna was a seventh century saint who was believed to be only fifteen years old at the time of her martyrdom. She was born to Irish royalty, but when her mother died, her father pursued her, and she took refuge in modern-day Belgium. Eventually, she was found and was killed by her father because she had taken a vow of chastity. Today, she is known as the patron saint of those suffering from nervous and mental health afflictions. Devotion to St. Dymphna has increased in recent years, especially with novenas prayed before her feast day.

On the Blog

Last month I had the opportunity to go to Lisieux, France, and visit the tomb and home of one of my favorite saints, St. Therese of Lisieux. While visiting the Carmelite monastery where she lived, one thing that struck me was the hundreds of letters from soldiers fighting in World War I, letters thanking Therese for her intercessory prayer from heaven that miraculously protected them during battle. Not knowing how to thank her, these soldiers sent letters of gratitude to her religious order. It was these letters that opened her cause for canonization. St. Therese is now considered the patron saint of missionaries because of her powerful intercession. This experience brought me to reflect on the importance of intercession in our lives and how we can better live intercessory lives by imitating the model of St. Therese’s life.

It seems that asking for intercessory prayers is a part of the daily life of many Catholics, but what is our disposition when this happens? It can be so tempting to half-heartedly ask someone to intercede for a person or situation in your life, not expecting anything to happen as a result. Even more often, I find myself saying yes to intercede for someone and then not putting the intention and time into the prayer that I should. I think the main cause of all of these roadblocks in intercession comes from not understanding the power our prayer has, and this is a lesson we can learn from St. Therese.
