A Tribute To Thomas Seddon

The Warren County Foundation is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Thomas Seddon, who served as the Foundation’s Executive Director from 2017 to 2025. Tom passed away following a courageous battle with illness over the past several months.

Tom brought decades of experience in higher education advancement and nonprofit leadership to the Foundation. Before joining the organization, he served as Vice President of Development at Ashland University and held advancement roles at the University of Cincinnati Foundation.

During his time at the Warren County Foundation, Tom was instrumental in growing the Foundation’s impact across the region. He strengthened community partnerships, championed local giving, and helped connect donors with causes that mattered most.

“Tom had a steady hand and a generous spirit,” said Mike McGinty, Interim CEO of the Foundation. “He believed in the power of philanthropy to change lives and worked every day to make our community better.”

Tom will be remembered not only for his professional accomplishments but also for his love of reading, quiet wisdom, and sincere dedication to others.

In honor of Tom’s legacy, donations may be made to the Thomas L. Seddon Scholarship Fund, which will provide scholarships for students at the Warren County Career Center. Contributions can be made online at warrencountyfoundation.org/donate.html by selecting the Thomas L. Seddon Scholarship Fund under the Scholarship Funds section.

The family has respectfully requested no flowers.
