HONORING THEIR SACRIFICE

Memorial Day is a time to pause, reflect, and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. At Fisher House Kansas City, this day holds deep meaning as we stand alongside the families of those who have served—remembering their sacrifice, their courage, and the loved ones they left behind.

As we gather with gratitude, we are reminded that freedom comes at a cost, and we remain committed to supporting the families who carry that legacy forward every day.

A Tribute to the Courage and Sacrifice

of Mothers Who Serve

Mother’s Day is a time to honor the incredible women who serve our country and our communities in so many ways. We recognize the heroic moms on active duty, the mothers who have worn the uniform and continue to lead as veterans, and the women whose service and sacrifice define what it means to be strong.

We also hold space for the mothers who support those who serve, who stand beside their families through deployments and recovery, and those who carry the profound loss of a son or daughter who gave their life in service.

At Fisher House Kansas City, we are privileged to witness their resilience, their courage, and their unwavering love—and this month, we honor each of them.

We wish you all a very Happy Mother’s Day!

Fisher House KC is proud and grateful to have been chosen to be the Cigars and Pars Foundation’s 2026 Merit Honoree. The Foundation hosts one of Kansas City's premier charity golf events, each year bringing people together for golf, cigars, friendship, and fundraising for nonprofits that are making a difference in Kansas City.

Members stopped by in late March for a tour, and we were so happy to host them.

This year’s event is on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Shoal Creek Golf Course.
