Honoring Transgender Day of Visibility

Yesterday, March 31st, we honored the International Transgender Day of Visibility. This day is a time to celebrate transgender and non-binary people and acknowledge the determination it takes to live openly and authentically. It's important for advocates to learn about the wide range of challenges transgender and non-binary people experience, including pervasive violence and discrimination and especially towards trans women of color and Black trans women.

We invite you to join the first-ever meeting of our ACTION Collaborative Network LGBTQ+ Inclusive Schools Forum on April 22nd where we will begin to formalize our community striving for safety and inclusion of LGBTQ+ youth in schools. Additionally, we hope these resources can be of support:

We wish you a healthy, safe, and peaceful Transgender Day of Visibility, and we thank you for all that you do.

En beca y solidaridad,

Andrew, Ann, and the GCSC Team
