This week, Team Soto honored our veterans at Veterans Day events at the Lake Nona VA, Stonewyck Elementary, and St. Cloud. We recognize the sacrifices that veterans have made for our country and express our gratitude for their service.

After a productive in-district period, I returned to Washington and proudly voted to pass the Social Security Fairness Act to repeal harmful provisions and deliver benefits to workers. All Americans deserve to receive the Social Security benefits they paid into.

The House also passed the FAFSA Deadline Act—bipartisan legislation that will give students and families in Central Florida more time to apply for federal student aid. This bill is a crucial step toward expanding access to education.

Additionally, we welcomed True Health CEO Janelle Dunn to Washington to discuss the work left to do in the 118th Congress to support our community health centers. We will keep working together to expand healthcare access, protect healthy families, and lower prescription drug prices.

I'm proud of our accomplishments this week and look forward to working in the district and Washington, D.C., to improve the lives of Central Floridians next week!

The open enrollment period for Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) health insurance is underway! Florida has the biggest ACA exchange in the U.S., with 4.2 million people enrolled.

Enroll by December 15 to get covered starting January 1, 2025.

Medicare Enrollment is Open Until December 7

Medicare Open Enrollment runs through December 7! Thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act, Medicare beneficiaries in our district are expected to save $7.3 million this year.

Veterans can receive no-cost emergency mental health care at VA or non-VA healthcare facilities. Veterans can use this benefit whether or not they are enrolled in the VA system. This policy will save lives.

During the 117th Congress, House Democrats passed the Inflation Reduction Act. Now, millions of seniors no longer have to ration their insulin because they can’t afford it.
