To every service member who has worn the uniform and every family who has wondered if their loved one would be coming home, we recognize the immense sacrifices you've made, and we won't soon forget them. Sleighbells on the Square

The Cobb County Bar Association is once again holding their annual Sleighbells on the Square 5K race! The proceeds for this event go to the Children's Emergency Fund, which provides emergency grants to Cobb households facing financial emergencies.

Judicial Emergency Extension

This week, Georgia Supreme Court Chief Justice Harold Melton extended the judicial emergency order for an eighth time. This order puts renewed importance on establishing safe and healthy means of resuming in-person jury trials and will last until December 9th.

Georgia starts hand recount of presidential race

Georgia’s manual recount began Friday morning as election workers reviewed the first of nearly 5 million ballots to confirm the outcome of the presidential race. The recount started at 9 a.m. and will last until 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, resulting in a new, official count in the race where Joe Biden led Donald Trump by 14,000 votes as of Friday morning.

Thanks for Giving

For 35 years, the Center for Family Resources has been providing families in Cobb County with food for Thanksgiving, but we believe that Thanks for Giving is more than a meal. It is an opportunity for families to create and continue family traditions, to gather with their loved ones and to give thanks in a way that is meaningful to them. Our goal is 1,000 Thanks for Giving food boxes for 1,000 families. This year might look different but with your support we can make this happen.
