On June 25, the ChiArts Class of 2020 began a new chapter in their lives as they walked across the stage during our first-ever
virtual commencement
. More than 2,800 family members, friends, teachers, staff, alumni, and supporters united in celebration to watch the next generation of Chicago artists, leaders, and change-makers share their creativity and talent, while guest speakers Sandra Cisneros, Darrell Grand Moultrie, Anthony McGill, and Billy Porter delivered messages of hope and inspiration.
None of us could have imagined the challenges our school and community had to navigate this year, but our mission to develop the next generation of diverse and talented scholar-artists remained steadfast throughout. We have no doubt that our seniors will make a difference in the world as they emerge as resilient, compassionate, and creative leaders of the future.
In celebration of the Class of 2020, and as ChiArts' 10th Anniversary school year comes to a close, we invite you to make a gift in support of our tuition-free arts conservatories. Your generosity will help ensure future generations of scholar-artists can flourish at ChiArts. Thank you for being a part of our family.
