Remembering Pope Francis

and His Call to Care for Our Common Home

“The divine and the human meet in the slightest detail in the seamless garment of God’s creation, the last speck of dust of our planet.” (Laudato Si' 9)

"The entire material universe speaks of God’s love, his boundless affection for us. Soil, water, mountains: everything is, as it were, a caress of God." (Laudato Si' 84)

With profound sorrow, Springbank mourns the loss of our beloved Pope Francis.

On Earth Day, we remember his life and legacy, reminding ourselves of our duty to safeguard and preserve our planet for future generations.

In his encyclical "Laudato Si'", Pope Francis passionately called for action, emphasizing the interconnectedness of the environmental and social crises. He urged a holistic approach to address these issues.

Pope Francis is greatly loved for standing compassionately with those on the margins of society.
