Beginning in January, most of Carman Hall will be closed for about one year.

Ceiling tiles are being removed now to help the contractor plan for the January construction. The ceiling work will have no impact on Fall semester activities.

Healthy Bronx: Dean Elgloria Harrison (School of Health Sciences, Human Services, and Nursing), faculty, and students celebrated the launch of the Bronx Community Hub. The new community-based initiative brings health screenings and resources directly to Bronx residents while providing students with hands-on learning. During the launch, nursing and speech-language pathology students provided screenings and support to community members.

Accepted: Newly accepted Social Work undergraduate students attended the Fall 2026 Acceptance-Day Orientation, where they participated in activities focused on building connections and self-awareness, met Social Work faculty, and learned about valuable resources available across campus to support their studies.
