UC Irvine Honors to Honors Nominations
Eligible students who participate in the UC Irvine Honors to Honors are granted early admission to UCI (not necessarily to their first choice of major) and guaranteed admission to the prestigious Campus wide Honors Collegium. Students also receive priority consideration for a special set of merit-based scholarships.
Students must have a cumulative UC GPA of 3.7 in transferable coursework by the end of Fall 2022. By the end of the Spring 2023 quarter, students must have completed 90 quarter units, minimum major preparation requirements and fulfilled UC English Composition (2 courses), mathematics (1 course), and additional subject requirements (4 courses). In addition, you must also complete the Honors Scholar program by Spring 2023.
In order for Honors Institute students to be considered for UCI's Honors to Honors program, you must have applied to UC Irvine for Fall 2023 and be nominated by the Honors Institute Coordinators. You should have already let us know you applied to Irvine. If you did not -- email honors@foothill.edu.

The Bay Area Honors Symposium
The Bay Honors Research Symposium gives students the opportunity to participate in scholarly research in a variety of disciplines, with the goal of presenting their findings in a variety of formats. The Honors Institute will pay Reg Fees. This is a cool thing you can put on your applications and use for your CV. It is amazing to be able to meet a community of like-minded scholars.
Consider submitting a presentation abstract. It isn't much at this point, just an idea that can be assessed. Honors co-director, Dr. Sam Connell can help you refine it in the next month. Let us know if you are interested.

The RSL Symposium
Plan to participate in this campus and community-wide event!
The Research and Service Leadership Symposium provides students an opportunity to expand their learning beyond the walls of the classroom (or the confines of the screen); to investigate their world through in-depth research projects; to create and participate in worthwhile service learning activities, including original creative arts projects, and to present their newfound knowledge, insights and experiences to the campus community.
Students will gain experience presenting in a professional conference setting on the virtual campus through presentations, performance, displays and discussion.
The Symposium itself is the culminating event of these student projects. The event includes
- A full day and evening of presentations, peer discussion forums, art galleries, and creative performances.
- Awards ceremony, keynote speaker and closing celebration.
