Warda Ali and Tracee during the closing ceremony. Last year Warda was a transfer student in the audience and today she is a Stanford student who came to the conference to tell her powerful story.

It was a rainy but fun Saturday at Stanford for the Bay Area Honors Symposium. Thanks to every student who came out and supported. The symposium was excellent and hopefully we convinced some future students to take part at next year's symposium to be held at Berkeley! If you are intrigued, check out the symposium program from this year.

About the Production

This classic, ancient Sanskrit fantasy/romance/drama tells the story of King Dushyanta and his love Shakuntala. Smitten at their first meeting, Dushyanta and Shakuntala fall in love and marry. Along the way, their love is then tested by fate and karma, nature and the divine, identity and self-realization and all the characters and trappings that serve as both support and obstacles.
