NYCPM Learning Specialist --
Graduates!
On December 18, NYCPM’s Learning Specialist Erin Lynn became Dr. Erin Lynn, as she was awarded her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership degree from Arkansas State University. Her dissertation, “A Phenomenological Study of the Impact of COVID-19 on Colleges and Universities in the United States,” is clearly pertinent to the current moment in education. Previously, Dr. Lynn had earned a BA and MA in Sociology (at Arkansas State), as well as an Education Specialist degree in Community College Administration. Michael J. Trepal, DPM, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean, noted that “she has been a tremendous resource for students and faculty since joining in March 2021 and is making a difference” at the College.

New Inspirational Installation for Dean’s List Wall
Notice a change on the first floor? Thanks to Audrey Negron, Executive Assistant in the Dean’s Office, the Dean’s List Wall has a fresh, updated look that enhances the names of the students who have achieved this recognition. NYCPM Gives!
Members of two student clubs enlisted their fellow students to help others at the end of 2021. The Student National Podiatric Medical Association (SNPMA) held a Sock & Shoe Drive at the college; collected items were donated to Street Health Outreach & Wellness Mobile Units, which are a part of NYCHH. From the mobile units, the apparel was distributed to community members in Harlem and the South Bronx (see photo).
Starting in October, the American Association for Women Podiatrists (AAWP) Club organized a women's health drive for the local community shelter, Women In Need (WIN). The club collected over 130 items for the shelter, with an estimated value of $500, by the end of the year. Over five boxes holding a very wide range of personal care, apparel, household, and baby care items and apparel were donated to the Manhattan WIN shelter in December.
Thanks to NYCPM’s community of generous students, faculty and staff, for donating to both drives.
