Every year on April 28, workplaces across Canada observe the Day of Mourning—a time to remember those who have lost their lives, been injured, or become ill due to workplace incidents, and to reflect on the importance of safety.
At MSA, this day aligns closely with our mission to support safer workplaces across Saskatchewan. While statistics show the scale, they never capture the full story. Behind every number is a person—a coworker, friend, or family member—whose absence or injury has a lasting impact.
The Day of Mourning is marked in many ways, from flags at half-mast to moments of silence at 11:00 a.m. Each act of remembrance reinforces a shared commitment: every worker deserves to return home safely.
