Midnight Basketball
Association
Since 2000, Midnight Basketball Association has been a
collaborative effort between Spokane School District 81, Camp Fire
USA, the Spokesman-Review, Communities in Schools, and the Spokane
Hoopfest Association to provide a free out of school activity to
area boys and girls in grades 6, 7 & 8 for four weeks in the
fall. Registered kids are placed on teams according to where they
go to school. They practice once a week at their schools and then
play 3-on-3 games each Saturday at Rogers High School. They are
also required to attend a motivational workshop each Saturday
before games begin. Our 2010 season ended on October 30. This
was a record year with over 400 kids registering and 300 players
and a whopping 800 spectators attending every weekend! Thank you
to the many volunteer coaches and court monitors for making this
program a success year after year! Click here to see the photos on
Facebook!
