Greetings!

Hooray! Together, we did it!

With your enthusiastic support and testimonies, we got a unanimous vote from the Multnomah County Board of Commissioners for a resolution “accelerating the county’s transition from the use of gas-powered leaf blowers at county facilities, and for convening a workgroup with the City of Portland to consider an equitable community-wide phase-out strategy for gas-powered leaf blowers.”

Thank you verrry much for your assistance in getting the resolution approved! The next step for the Quiet Clean PDX team will be working with the County Commissioners on convening the work group in early 2022.

Here’s a news article on the County's action from yesterday's Oregonian: https://www.oregonlive.com/health/2021/12/ban-on-gas-powered-leaf-blowers-back-on-table-in-multnomah-county.html
