This Weekend at Hope:
The Heart of Hope | Church Family Values | Romans 1:16-17
Hi Hope Ames!
But Jesus said, "Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children" (Matthew 19:14).
Sometimes, words can't justify an experience. How could I possibly describe what I've seen over the last five days? Thirty-one selfless volunteers from Hope Ames have welcomed 100-plus kids to our first-ever Vacation Bible School.
I keep thinking of Jesus' words, "The Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children." All week, the kids have taught us how to worship shamelessly, pray boldly, and encourage one another with God's love.
Take a look at some of the shots below, and for an even better taste of VBS, come to worship on Sunday at 10:30 am in the Ames City Auditorium. The kids will be leading us in worship with a few of the songs they learned this week! You'll also get an idea of why our church goes all out for Vacation Bible School, as we unpack Lutheran Church of Hope's five core values. Come and see!

P.S. On Sunday, Aug. 19, we will be celebrating our 1-year anniversary as a church! We will hold our service at Bandshell Park in Ames. Be ready for engaging worship, delicious food, bouncy inflatables and tons of fun.
P.P.S. Beginning Sunday, Aug. 19, we will change our Sunday morning service time from 10:30 to 10:00 am. Hopefully this helps those of you with frequent events on Sunday afternoons!

Back-to-School Drive
