Happy (wet...again...) Friday Hope!
Whenever people ask me to talk about Hope the first thing I say is, "We have such great people in this church!"
It's so true. I echo these sentiments at the beginning of one of the Apostle Paul's letters to the church:
"We can't help but thank God for you, because your faith is flourishing and your love for one another is growing." 2 Thessalonians 1:3
This weekend is
Rally Weekend. We are going to kick off the fall program year with a Cy-Hawk Tailgate at 4:00 pm on Saturday. The game will be on if any of you care to watch, and we'll have free food and games. It should be a blast whether you wear cardinal and gold, black and gold or purple and gold!

globally, we are ready to help you grow as a follower of Jesus!
None of these ministries would be possible without the faithful support of so many great people in this church. This weekend at worship as we continue the
HOPE4IA message series I'll be preaching on
Hope for Church Volunteers and Staff based on
Galatians 6:2-10, and we'll be praying for everyone serving at Hope this fall.
It's good to be the church together, rain or shine. Looking forward to seeing you this weekend!

PS - This Sunday is the
New Member Class and next Sunday is the
Annual Congregational Meeting (both at the West Des Moines campus). One of the items on the agenda at the annual meeting will be approval for a giving campaign to expand our church facility at Hope Ankeny. These are exciting times and I'm grateful for your continued prayers for God's work through Hope!
