5 Year Anniversary Celebration

November 12th was an amazing and successful evening celebrating the 5 year anniversary of Hope Center Houston. Special thanks to Jodie Leach, Frances Stetson and Joe Wilson along with their wonderful committee, without whom the event would not have been possible. Everyone enjoyed an evening of networking and community with a delicious dinner from Rockfish Grill, music by Fellowship of the Swing and complimentary valet parking by Tom Peacock. Guests explored the Center, admiring the new medical clinic, future dental clinic, and our newly remodeled Saint Francis Library.
Thanks to everyone who attended and made this a spectacular event.
Building Named
During our 5 year celebration, we orchestrated a surprise for our founder and past president Debbie Johnson. The Center's building will now be called "The Debbie Johnson Building" in her honor. Debbie was the driving force behind the creation of Hope Center Houston and led the organization for more than 3 years. She overcame numerous obstacles along the way, but ultimately created the welcoming environment our homeless guests enjoy today. Many thanks to Debbie Johnson for her vision and hard work.

Ups and Downs
Exciting news! In mid-November our elevator was repaired, inspected and passed. Thanks to Chris and Jeremy with Vertical Transportation Services for their hard work to get us moving. In conjunction with our elevator repairs, all fire extinguishers and strobe/fire detectors were tested and undated (if necessary) to pass inspection by the Fire Marshall.
