Planning the future of Hope for HIE
Recently the Hope for HIE Board of Directors met to prepare our annual report, review our strategic plan and set our goals for 2020 and beyond. All members of the board are volunteers, with families, jobs, and responsibilities outside of Hope for HIE, but this work is crucial to the mission of the organization.

We are so proud of what Hope for HIE has accomplished so far, but we know there is much more to do. Our next steps will continue to be focused on growing the organization, through new partnerships and collaborations and reaching families worldwide, so we can continue to promote education and awareness of HIE, while also supporting the thousands of families that look to us for resources and connection.

We look forward to sending you a separate email with our Annual Report in the coming week.

Thank you for all of your support,

Betsy, Lindsay, Matt, Annie, David & Jennifer

HIE Awareness Month 2020: Choose Hope
We are gearing up for our fifth annual HIE Awareness Month in April, where we work to educate and spread awareness of HIE.

Every year, our reach has grown, helping us spread awareness of HIE and support more families across the globe so no one faces HIE alone.

SHARE YOUR STORY
Recently, we posted a call in our main parent forum for families to tell their stories about why they choose hope.

We will use these stories to share the faces of HIE throughout the month of April during our Awareness Month Campaign.

You can also share your story via email.

We'd love to include clinicians and researchers as well! Share your story by March 10 to be included.

And stay tuned for more information about how you can participate in HIE Awareness Month!
HIE AWARENESS APPAREL

Newborn Brain Society Launches
We are so excited for the launch of the Newborn Brain Society, focused on advancing newborn brain care through collaboration, education and innovation.

Hope for HIE's President Betsy Pilon is serving on the Board of Directors as the organization's Co-Chair of Communication and Networking Committee.

We are so proud to be a part of the founding membership and leadership. We can't wait to see all the great things this new organization will do!
