February 2026

In 2025, Hope Alliance advanced its mission to remove vision barriers for individuals and families facing financial, geographic, and systemic obstacles to eye care, both locally and globally.

Our work focused on expanding access for underserved and uninsured patients, rural and remote communities, school-aged children, and working adults through permanent clinics, international partnerships, and a mobile care model.

Through community partnerships and flexible delivery, vision care reached people who would otherwise go without.

AT A GLANCE

EXPANDING OUR IMPACT

In 2025, Hope Alliance expanded access through permanent clinic partnerships and international clinical collaborations grounded in sustainability and local capacity building.

Last year, Hope Alliance placed Vision Van Go, its mobile vision clinic, into active service.

This created a durable piece of infrastructure that expands access to care to rural and underserved communities in Utah, and positions the organization for consistent, scalable service delivery in the years ahead.

A decade ago, Hope Alliance planted the first seeds of vision care at Bwindi Community Hospital in Buhoma, Uganda—introducing the hospital’s first vision services and the foundation for what was to come.

In 2025, that early investment came powerfully full circle. Hope Alliance, alongside a consortium of partner NGOs, opened a dedicated vision clinic within the hospital—an outcome we couldn’t be more thrilled to see, and a clear reflection of how intentional, early investments can grow into lasting systems of care.

Together, these efforts reduced barriers created by cost, distance, transportation challenges, and provider shortages, while building equitable, enduring access rooted in local capacity.

In 2025, Hope Alliance expanded access through permanent clinic partnerships and international clinical collaborations grounded in sustainability and the belief that meaningful change grows from the first seeds planted.

WHAT COMES NEXT

Beyond delivering care, 2025 was a year of momentum. Hope Alliance strengthened infrastructure, deepened partnerships, and laid the groundwork for innovative tele-optometry and hybrid care models designed to serve rural Utah and beyond.

This foundation positions the organization for expanded reach and

measurable growth in 2026.

Together, we are restoring sight, building access, and creating

impact that lasts.

A note of thanks from one of our vision clinic patients in Moab.

To all of you wonderful people at the Hope Alliance,

I just want to say a very special thank you. Thank you for what you do and for giving your time, effort, and energy to help others. I am so grateful and truly feel special.

It was incredibly kind that the glasses did not cost anything. I was honestly overwhelmed and could not believe it.

Before receiving my new glasses, it was very difficult to see, especially at night. The glare from other drivers’ lights made it almost impossible. The glasses I had were scratched and even missing an arm.

Now I can see clearly again, and it has made such a difference in my life.

Thank you very, very much for all that you do. It is truly appreciated.
