Celebrating milestones is one of the ways we mark life's most important memories. This year, our Nation is celebrating the centennial of our National Park Service, but I must admit, I'm more excited about my youngest granddaughter's first birthday in a few days. Other exciting upcoming milestones are the 10th anniversary of the Wyoming horseback writing retreats, the 20th anniversary of my river adventures for women, and the 5th "Weaving Words & Women" retreat in magical Peru.
A milestone can offer time to reflect on the past and time to envision the future. I live in a community where my neighbors are just a "stone's throw away." I like to think that we all live in a country where hope is just around the bend.
Wishing you autumn blessings, Page

“I've been reading nature writers for most of my 93 years on the planet but the first seven paragraphs
of your Mother Tongue essay in the current
Sojourns
is the most profoundly moving bit of writing
I have ever read......” Marcel Rodriguez, Utah
