On the darkest of days—when hope seems lost, when all that was longed for appears to have slipped away—God is not absent. He is present, quietly and faithfully at work, accomplishing His purposes even when we cannot see or understand them.
Good Friday reminds us that what looked like defeat was, in truth, the unfolding of God’s perfect plan of redemption. At the cross, Jesus Christ willingly bore our sin, enduring unimaginable suffering so that we might be forgiven and restored to God.
Yet the story does not end there.
As Paul so powerfully declares in 1 Corinthians 15:54–56, “Death has been swallowed up in victory… Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? … Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Because Jesus rose from the grave, we have a living and unshakable hope. Sin has been defeated. Death has lost its power. And those who belong to Christ share in His victory—now and forever.
The cross shows us that God meets us in our deepest sorrow. The empty tomb assures us that sorrow and death do not have the final word.
This Easter, whether you find yourself in a season of joy or walking through difficulty, remember this: God sees you. He cares for you. He loves you. And for those who love God, He is working all things together for good according to His purposes.
May your heart be strengthened and renewed by the certain hope we have in our crucified and risen Savior.
The Easter season is a wonderful time to reconsider the claims of Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior of all who put their trust in Him.
Wishing God’s blessing to you and to your family during this Easter season!
