Dear Hope for HIE community,

2024 was another incredible year for our organization — we are celebrating TEN YEARS as a confirmed charitable organization, growing from 200 families to now over 10,000 from 100+ countries!

We’ve grown in nearly every way and have even officially expanded our mission to reflect the five pillars of service we dedicate to — Awareness, Advocacy, Education, Research and Support. When we started this journey back in 2010, the original founders had the vision to be the premiere global organization for awareness, education and support, with the hopes to impact advocacy and research.

As you’ll see in our video, lovingly and thoughtfully created by our program manager, Deanna Bryan, we are exceeding the vision of our original three founders in innumerable ways. This does not happen without the continued, consistent support of our greater community including families, staff, board of directors, Medical Advisory Board, research partners, and corporate sponsors.

Key HIElights:

• $100,000 grant to start building the HIE registry with the Cerebral Palsy Research Network and Newborn Brain Society!
• PROGRAM EXPANSION in Super Sibs & SOAR for Kids with HIE 8 & Older
• 18 Trained Peer Support Mentors, Weekly Video Support Groups, Peer Perspective Video Series, the SupportSpot app & resources FREE to all HIE families
• TWO enrolling clinical trials, with EIGHT in the hopper
• Featured in the NFL My Cleats My Cause program
• Hustle for Hope: 15+ in-person events raising over $100,000
• 12 co-authored research publications
• Educational resources across 29 languages!
• Connecting and supporting over 10,000 families WORLDWIDE
• $10,000 in holiday giveaways sponsored by the Clapsaddle family in loving memory of their daughter Claire
• HIE ambassador program piloted at Seattle Children's Hospital, expanding to SIX hospitals in early 2025!

MOVING INTO 2025

We are eager to continue moving our mission forward in the New Year. We have many exciting projects, building on the success in 2024.
