As we entered into the Hurricane season this year, I didn't anticipate seeing and personally experiencing other types of severe weather events. Scary. Dark. Threatening. So much damage to homes, businesses, vehicles, and the most tragic of all - loss of life. In fact, so many families across the nations have been impacted by all manner of raging storms and tragedy.

On April 26th, my husband, son and I were traveling home from the rodeo and encountered heavy rain and severe lightening. Then within just a few miles of our ranch, we were hit with very large hail that pounded our car. The hail was so thick and came so quickly that we were literally driving on top of a bed of ice. We almost slid into the ditches several times. We couldn't even see the roads, thus it became a guessing game with only the lightening strikes to show us the way.

We praise the Lord that we finally made it home safely. Because Jesus is our Hope, we had prayed and trusted in Him in the midst of a dark and scary experience. Yes, we had massive hail damage to not only our car, but two other vehicles at home. Thankfully, I can say it was another good life illustration for me that in the midst of any storm, Jesus will always be the One to turn to with my fear and concerns.

Beloved, whether you are seeing the storm clouds gathering or in the midst of a raging tempest, hold fast to our Hope. He will never fail you.
