Addressing the Coronavirus issues:
Dear Valued Partners,

WOW! Things are pretty crazy right now!

Here's what I know:
God knows what you are going through and He promises He will never leave us! We are strongly relying on His word. Psalm 91 starts out by saying:

"Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty! I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, My God in whom I trust.' Surely He will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge."

This is from the NIV version. I encourage you to look it up in whichever version you prefer and read it aloud daily. Take comfort in his word.

During this time we will continue to honor God and stand on what He has put in our hearts. To do his will - To help our neighbor - To pray for one another - to care for the widows and orphans.

Our sponsored women are counting on us to continue supporting and encouraging them. Many women are waiting to be sponsored! Wouldn't it be great if during this time of uncertainty we stepped up and said, "I'm going to do more! I'm going to do what I can to encourage others who live in fear. I'm going to give, so others can hear the message of hope!"

The virus will end. The fear will subside.

Those of us who have put our Hope in Christ will become stronger as we trust in Him. Those of us who have not put our trust in Him - my prayer is that you accept the Love he has to offer. He's waiting with arms outstretched.

I LOVE YOU ALL and THANK YOU for being a part of this ministry.
Hope4Women will be collaborating with Hope4Kids on responding to this crisis. Things are changing rapidly around the world in the countries where we serve. This is due to the spread of Covid-19, just like they are here in the US. Many of you have asked how you can help your sponsored women or sponsored child.

The best way to help is to donate to the H4KI Crisis Response Fund. This fund will be used to assist with critical needs of the kids, women and ministry partners that we serve. The needs will look different in each country. The need could be food, seeds for planting or medications. This fund will help us to respond quickly and effectively to the needs as they arise.

Hope4Healing - H4WI Ministry, like many other ministries, have had to find new ways to connect and pray in these unusual circumstances we find ourselves in. We will be meeting by conference calls to pray over the prayer requests we receive.

The Lord promised this in 2 Chronicles 7:14-15
"if my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, I will heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place."

We will not allow the virus to stop us from praising the Lord and sending up our prayers. We see an even greater need for prayer today than we did yesterday. We want to pray for you, and know your requests are held highly confidential.

THANK YOU SO MUCH
H4WI & DRESS A GIRL AROUND THE WORLD SUPPORTERS,
FOR LOVING GOD'S PEOPLE.

Each month we will be reviewing
DRESS A GIRL SEWING TIPS & UPDATES
All of us from the Dress A Girl Headquarters are very thankful for the giving hearts of our worldwide sewing team! Without your sacrifice of time, expense, and talent we would not be able to do what we do! It takes a village to raise a child, and we are so glad you are all a part of our village. We will be adding some monthly sewing tips and updates. We'll be picking a different part of the dress and subject each month. Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Please consider that the dress each girl receives may be the ONLY new dress they may EVER own. Our goal is to give them a high-quality product in which they feel dignified and beautiful. These girls live in areas where they are easy targets for trafficking. Please make sure the dress you are making is not made of a sheer material. Girls in some of the countries that our dresses are distributed are considered less than human, just by virtue of their sex. Most have no standing in their societies. We want them to know that they are loved by God, and are indeed precious, with high standing in the eyes of God. We show them this when we give them the best dress possible. It shows someone cares. Some of these dresses will go to the poorest-of-the-poor. "The Lord hears the cry of the poor", and we want to honor Him by honoring them. THANK YOU for serving God through Dress A Girl Around the World and making a difference to so many.

THIS MONTH: LENGTH OF MEDIUM SIZE DRESSES
We want to address the length of the traditional "Dress A Girl" size medium dress pattern.
Missionaries are finding, especially in newly developing countries, that many of the size
medium dresses could fit a larger selection of girls if they were about 4" longer.

We always want to respect the culture and tradition of the Country we are serving, and in many Countries the length of a girl/women's dress is very significant. A dress rarely can be too long, but several cultures dictate what is considered too short. Many tall & slender girls would have more of a chance finding the perfect dress if there were more of a selection for the tall & slender girl.

We, as an organization, could alleviate this problem one of two ways.
Please add 4" to the bottom of your size medium pattern before cutting fabric,
or add a larger ruffle at the bottom of the dress. Use your creativity to explore lots of fun options. You can also make your own ruffle out of your pocket material!

This will allow the taller, more slender girls more options for their dresses.
In many cultures, a dress below the knee is fine, but a dress that's hem is above the knee can not be worn. The extra 4" can make a huge difference for the missionaries in the field while trying to find the proper sizes.

WE THANK YOU...THE MISSIONARIES THANK YOU...AND THE GIRLS THANK YOU

DID YOU KNOW THAT YOU CAN COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR
SPONSORED WOMEN THROUGHOUT THE YEAR?

We hand deliver your letters to your sponsored women each time we travel to Uganda!

ARE YOU WONDERING ABOUT WHAT TO WRITE
TO YOUR SPONSORED WOMEN?

We suggest that you keep your letters simple. Write about things she will understand, such as your family, community, hobbies, special customs, and most importantly words of encouragement. Feel free to send a picture of you and your family. Avoid such things that will point out the vast differences between your world and the world of your sponsored women. Remember that she is one of the most deprived, living in a poor community.
Please never suggest that she visit the United States, or ask her for gift ideas.
For safety reasons, all correspondence to and from your sponsored women should go through the H4WI office located in Iowa. You can find our address at the top of this newsletter. We are aware that some of you have sent letters to the Hope4Kids Headquarters for your sponsored women. These were to be carried to Uganda on the April Hope4Kids Mission Trip. Rest assured, your letters will be safely held until
the next trip and will then make their way to Uganda and into the hands of your sponsored women. A simple letter means so very much to these women.
We pray you find it in your hearts to Bless them with your encouragement.
THANK YOU H4WI TEAM!
