Roses are red, Violets are blue,
We're the only Food Drive , that comes to you!

Like an ice cream truck, We'll roam the streets,
Though we won't be selling, Sweet frozen treats.

Instead we're hoping, You'll share food or a gift,
Can you imagine the power, Of getting such a lift?

And when we're not driving, the truck will be open
Bring food to the office, that's what we're hopin'!

Our neighbors are HUNGRY . Please help. And, if you prefer to write a check, please make it out to: Community Church Charities. Our, you can give on our website in a variety of ways. Both Beacon Place and El Puente Del Taco are able to purchase food in bulk at excellent prices
The truck will be open for drop off starting today - we hope to begin driving our LB routes this week
Finally, Lake Bluff friends - we are hoping to strategically place small yard signs throughout the Village. If you'd prefer for us to not place a sing in your yard, please email Pam
"The Human Element"
Film Screening and Discussion
Watch at Home - Gather on Zoom to Discuss

The Community Church invites you to join us for a special film event sponsored by Interfaith Power & Light and the Earth Vision Institute.

The best part is—it’s all from the comfort of your own home! In an arresting new documentary, environmental photographer James Balog, of Chasing Ice fame, captures the lives of everyday Americans on the front lines of climate change. With rare compassion and heart, The Human Element relays captivating stories from coast-to-coast, inspiring us to reevaluate our relationship with the natural world.

If the previous description doesn’t convince you, then take it from Zach, it’s going to be good. Zach and Lydia saw Chasing Ice at the 2012 MountainFilm in Telluride and can attest that James Balog is an incredible photographer and filmmaker.

Go to the web page below and sign up to receive a link to view The Human Element from April 17 through 26. After you sign-up (or if you have any questions) send Zach a note indicating that you are planning to watch and he will send you the link for the Zoom discussion group. It’s that easy. Date for discussion group TBA.
