Hopkinton Center for the Arts Presents Masterclass with Renowned American Impressionists

Calling all artists of any skill level - you won't want to miss this!


HCA is proud to welcome two of the nation’s most celebrated American Impressionist painters, T.M. Nicholas and Leo Mancini-Hresko, for an exclusive Masterclass on Saturday, September 13, from 10 am-4 pm.


Open to artists of all levels, this immersive workshop offers a rare opportunity to learn directly from two award-winning masters of the Impressionist tradition. The day includes live painting demonstrations, engaging discussions, and a catered lunch with the artists. Advance registration is required.

The morning session will feature a plein air landscape demonstration by Nicholas, followed by an afternoon portrait session with a live model led by Mancini-Hresko. Throughout the day, attendees will gain valuable insights into technique, materials, and the creative process.


Registration is $130 and includes lunch.


About the Artists


T.M. Nicholas is widely regarded as one of the leading painters of the Cape Ann school and among the most accomplished American Impressionists of his generation. With over 100 awards to his name—including gold and silver medals—his work is featured in prestigious museums and private collections. Nicholas trained under his father, renowned artist Tom Nicholas, and studied at the Gloucester Academy of Art and Montserrat School of Art.



Leo Mancini-Hresko is an internationally recognized painter whose work is held in private collections around the globe. A graduate of the Florence Academy of Art, he later served as Director of the Drawing Program for Sculptors and taught plein air painting and artist materials. Based in Massachusetts since 2012, Mancini-Hresko continues to travel widely to paint, teach, and exhibit.
