Forsa Fundraiser
On Saturday, November 7th Forsa Fitness hosted a workout to raise funds for camp. The energy was high and the music kept our feet moving. It was great to see so many members who train at Forsa come out for Horizon as well as some familiar Horizon faces in the crowd. Thanks to Gabriella, a first year Horizon camper, who shared her experiences at Horizon with her friends at Forsa. This event was able to raise over $800! That's enough to send one camper to camp this summer.
Annual Raffle 2016
Thank you to all those who have returned their ticket stubs and raffle money! We have had many people sell their tickets and this is a huge accomplishment! If you have not gotten your tickets in the mail yet please let Katy now ASAP. It is our goal to sell all 5,000 tickets. Let's do this for our 25th year!
Feature Highlight: Mike Trimpe
Mike Trimpe first heard about Horizon through John Stulas' sister Tracy. John was one of the original members helping get the organization up and running. Tracy worked with Mike's mother and she mentioned to her that they were trying to continue the summer camp program for adults. Mike attended Horizon Camp that first year and has attended camp every year since.

Over the years, Mike has contributed to Horizon in many ways. He has participated in several fundraisers, including a 5K walk and candlelight bowling. He has served on multiple committees, including the Golf Committee and the Camp Committee. He has been a board member for many years and has served as the camp director in the past. He has also made many friends through Horizon. His favorite part of camp is "enjoying a vacation with the many friends I have made over the years and being able to hang out with people that I may only be able to see during camp."
Outside of Horizon, Mike has two sisters, three nephews, one niece, and one grandniece. He enjoys movies, music, making homebrewed beer, going out to dinner with friends, and competing in fantasy baseball and football.

Visit the Mongolian Grill at the Bolingbrook Promenade on December 29 and raise some money for Horizon! For every person that shows up and mentions Horizon we will get $3!
