Weekly Eblast -- 7/28/23

My name is Kevin Burdette, and I am the Assistant Principal of Horizon Honors Elementary School. I began my career at Horizon Honors Elementary in 2004-2005 as an Elementary Teaching Assistant. In 2005, I was hired to teach in the Physical Education and Health department, in addition to being the Varsity High School Head Baseball coach. I coached the baseball team from 2005 to 2013. In the fall of 2013, I was hired as the Elementary School Assistant Principal. In 2020, I became an Assistant Varsity High School Baseball Coach.

I have two beautiful children, Caileigh and Kennah. Caileigh graduated from Horizon Honors Secondary School in 2020 and attends Culinary School at Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. Kennah is currently a Junior at Horizon Honors Secondary School.

I would like to take this moment to welcome the parents and our students to the Eagle family. Your child is a member of an outstanding student community that strives for excellence in all we do. We look forward to partnering with our parents and students in making the elementary years a positive experience.
