WE SOLVED THE MYSTERY!
Wadsworth saw Professor Plum in the office with the "cauldron" perfecting her Plum Perfect Rice Krispy Treat recipe and she wants to share it with you and your family to try at home! This is a fun twist on the gooey classic.
| |
Ingredients:
- 8 Tbsp unsalted butter, plus more to grease the pan
- 16 oz mini marshmallows, divided into 6 cups and 2 cups
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
- 6 cups of crispy rice cereal
- 1 cup "special" cereal (try: Count Chocula, Boo Berry or Frankin Berry)
Instructions:
- Butter and line a 9X9 baking dish with parchment paper
- In a large pot (or "cauldron"), melt butter over medium/low heat. Add 6 cups of mini marshmallows and stir just until completely melted (don't overcook or the mixture will harden)
- Remove the pan from the heat and immediately stir in vanilla and salt.
- Working quickly, add all the cereals and remaining 2 cups of marshmallows and stir/fold together until well coated and the added marshmallows just start to melt but are still chunky
- Enjoy this Plum Perfect Treat!

LIGHT UP AHWATUKEE & HOLIDAY LIGHTS PHOENIX ILLUMINATE HORIZON HONORS! | |
If you've noticed our campus looking a bit brighter this season, it's thanks to a generous donation and installation from Light Up Ahwatukee (LUA) and Horizon Honors parent Keith Call, owner of the local business Holiday Lights Phoenix!
This year, LUA is expanding its mission to "Light Up All of Ahwatukee," bringing festive lights to new areas across our community—including Horizon Honors. Their efforts are all part of the 27th Annual Light Up Ahwatukee Holiday Festival, happening November 23rd at Desert Foothills Park.
LUA is currently seeking community volunteers, event sponsors, marketplace vendors, and participants for the Motorcycle Parade. Students can even earn community service hours by volunteering at the festival—sign up and join the fun! For more information about Light Up Ahwatukee or to get involved, visit lightupahwatukee.org.
