For students, it’s one of the most anticipated events of the school year—but we need volunteers to make it happen. We hope that you can offer your time and talents to help students experience Bookjoy firsthand! Every purchase directly benefits our school.

We can accept Cash, Debit & Credit Cards or eWallet. If you have funds left from a previous Book Fair follow the steps below to move your funds to this book fair:


  • Go to our Book Fair homepage

  • Go to eWallet, click GET STARTED
  • Create your eWallet
  • Enter students name, teacher and grade
  • Choose how to fund your eWallet
  • Select “Fund with an eGift Card Balance”
  • Select Fund button to move the full amount of the eGift Card to the eWallet


Can't make it to the Book Fair? Shop Online from February 28 - March 12. Horizon will still benefit from these purchases and your purchases will be mailed directly to your home!


****PRE-ORDER your copy of Dogman #12 The Scarlet Shedder. Release date is March 19th, special Hardcover edition $14.99+ tax. If Pre-ordered at the Book Fair, books will be delivered to your students classroom on 3/19 when received.

Cereal and Breakfast Drive


We are partnering with Cereal4All and the Kyrene Resource Center to provide breakfast items and snack items for those in need. We are collecting the following items for the next few weeks and our goal is to fill all 10 bins in the front elementary! We are looking for the following items:

* large boxes of healthy cereal

* small boxes of cereal

* granola or cereal bars

* individual oatmeal or breakfast meals (microwaveable)

* individual applesauce, fruit, or fruit pouches

 

We will be collecting items from now until February 26th!

5-6 SPRING ATHLETICS


Monday, February 12 and Wednesday, February 14:

Girls Tryouts will be held in the middle school courtyard from 3:45pm to 5:00pm.


Tuesday, February 13 and Thursday, February 15:

Boys Tryouts will be held in the middle school courtyard from 3:45pm to 5:00pm.


*Tryouts are closed to the public, parents may not attend. Also, please know in order to make the roster, students must be present at both tryouts. If there is an issue, please email Nate Agostini, our Athletic Director in advance. nate.agostini@horizonhonors.org


Friday, February 16:

Team rosters are finalized, coaches will send out communication. Due to the popularity of the program, we anticipate cuts will be made. The athletic fee of $125.00 will be available to pay on PowerSchool. The payment deadline is Friday, February 23.


Tuesday, February 20:

Team photos will be taken in the gym. Boys pictures will be at 3:20pm and the girls will be at 3:30pm. Please plan on picking them up at the flagpole 15 minutes after their scheduled time.


Practice:

The girls team will practice Monday and Wednesdays in the middle school courtyard from 3:45pm to 5:00pm. The boys team will practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45pm to 5:00pm.
