SEMESTER 2 AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS
After school clubs are a great way to explore interests and develop talents. Please choose the club your student is interested in and follow the directions on how to sign up in the flyers listed below. A copy of your response will be emailed to you after submission, please keep a copy for your reference.
Friday, December 20 - Club Sign Up Closes
Wednesday, January 8 - An email of which students were selected in the lottery will be sent out to families.
Wednesday, January 15 - The deadline to accept or decline your students seat in a club(s).
Monday, January 27 - Clubs Begin.
Friday, January 31 - Deadline to pay in 11:59pm. Information on how to pay will be emailed to families.

SECOND SEMESTER SPRING SHOWBIZ
Wednesdays & Thursdays
Grades 3-6 Students interested in applying for Spring ShowBiz need to join the Google Classroom via their gmail account with the Google Classroom code 6eb34ld. Please read all information and directions.
- The show's title will be announced on Dec. 5th
- Applications due by 4:00pm on Dec. 13th
- Decisions announced by email on Dec. 20th

GRADES 5-6 ATHLETICS FEES
The $125 athletic fee is due Tuesday, December 3rd, to maintain athletic eligibility. Please remember that all other fees must be paid before the athletic fee can be paid.
The Athletic Fee is open - here are the steps to find those fees.
1. Log In to your PowerSchool Account.
2. Select Purchases & Payments from the Sidebar.
3. Select the Student you are Shopping for.
4. Select Items At Student’s School and then click on ATHLETICS.

WE NEED COOKIES!
Help us celebrate the Horizon Honors Staff by baking your favorite holiday cookies! The Staff Appreciation Committee needs volunteers to bake and donate sweet treats for their annual holiday event! We will be collecting cookies before school on Tuesday, December 10th and Wednesday, December 11th. Be on the lookout for a sign-up in next week’s e-blast.

WINTER WARM UP DRIVE!
Student Council will host a drive to collect items needed for the Aris Foundation, an organization that assists those who are experiencing homelessness.
Items needed are:
- Blankets
- Jackets
- Sweaters/Sweatshirts
- Pants
- Shirts
- Warm socks
- Gloves, mittens, warm hats, scarves
Donations can be dropped off in the Elementary Foyer in the labeled bins. The drive will run until December 20th.

The Horizon Honors Athletic Hall of Fame is a celebration of our athletic history, honoring the indomitable spirit, exceptional achievements, and unwavering dedication of outstanding athletes, coaches, and contributors.
The Hall showcases the integral connection between sportsmanship, leadership, and character development and fosters a culture that values both individual excellence and collective success, creating a legacy that resonates within our community for years to come.
This 2025 event will be held on Saturday, March 29 on the Horizon Honors campus.
All nominations must be completed by Monday, December 2.

NJHS Annual Toy Drive for HopeKids!
We are starting our annual NJHS Holiday Toy Drive!! NJHS is in need of about 200 toys for our Holiday Party. Toys need to be new, and can be for any age!
The Toy Drive and Holiday Party that NJHS hosts is for families with children that have life-threatening illnesses. You can find out more information about the organization here: https://hopekids.org/
We are collecting until December 6th and there are donation boxes in the Elementary Foyer, Media Center, and various classrooms.

Horizon Honors partners with DISHES2U for our optional lunch program! DISHES2U provides a secure, fast, and easy-to-use online ordering platform that allows you to view our menus, order, prepay and manage student orders from your smartphone, tablet, or computer.
