TALKING WITH YOUR TEEN ABOUT SEX:

ADVICE FOR PARENTS

by Delaney Ruston, MD

TUE., JAN. 21 | NOON PST | 3 PM EST

AI is everywhere, making it easier than ever for misinformation and disinformation to be made and spread, yet Meta just announced it will abandon fact-checking on all its platforms (Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp). Meanwhile, TikTok is just days away from potentially being banned in the U.S., begging the question: Where will its 150 million users head next? (Parents, have you heard about RedNote?) Kids still consider YouTube their #1 social media platform, using it (instead of Google) as a search engine. Perhaps most importantly, youth are seeing current events on all their social apps, including upsetting news and images from the recent Los Angeles wildfires (see below).

What does all this all mean for your kids in 2025 and beyond?

Join us for this interactive webinar (yes, you can ask questions!). Dr. Pamela Rutledge and Diana Graber will discuss the latest tech trends impacting youth and provide tips on how parents, caregivers, and teachers can best support their digital kids.

If you can't attend live, that's okay! If you register you will receive a video recording and a link to the podcast

Our hearts go out to those impacted by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. If you need help talking to your kids about upsetting images or news they may be seeing on their social media apps, here are two resources:
