2023 Outstanding Phoenix Youth Leader of the Year Applications Open

The City of Phoenix Youth and Education Office is now accepting applications for the 2023 Outstanding Phoenix Youth Leader of the Year awards. The awards recognize and honor the outstanding achievements of young people, enhance the perception of youth, and raise community awareness of their positive contributions. Winners can earn up to $2,000 for their leadership.

Students currently enrolled in high school in Phoenix, or who live within Phoenix city limits, can apply. For a complete list of requirements to apply, and details on the monetary prizes awarded, visit Phoenix.gov/Education. Applications are due Friday, Feb. 24 at 5 p.m.

Assistance with filling out applications to colleges and universities

One-on-one support with filling out the FAFSA and with applying to scholarships

Information on school requirements, eligibility, tuition and financial aid options

Students who attend any workshop, lab event or 1:1 advising session are entered to win a $1,000 scholarship sponsored by the Ramsey Social Justice Foundation.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES!

The Arizona Community Foundation scholarship application opened on January 1st! This is a wonderful opportunity to apply for scholarships for college. Complete one application through Arizona Community Foundation, and get matched to all eligible scholarships within their system. Visit their website to learn more and get started. There are also several upcoming virtual events hosted by the Arizona Community Foundation, which will provide assistance and a chance to ask questions about the application process.
