ROMEO & JULIET STARTS TONIGHT!

This play is a timeless tragedy, penned in the early stages of Shakespeare’s career. Unfolding in Verona, Italy, Romeo & Juliet tells the tale of two young lovers from feuding families, the Montagues and the Capulets. Romeo and Juliet’s passionate love defies the social and familial boundaries that seek to keep them apart. Their ill-fated romance leads to a series of tragic events, culminating in the untimely deaths of the titular characters. Against the backdrop of intense familial strife, the play explores themes of love, fate, and the consequences of unchecked hatred.

NOTE: Due to its tragic content and depiction of violence, this show is not recommended for children under 13+.

Romeo & Juliet Performances:

  • Friday, November 14th @ 7 PM
  • Saturday, November 15th @ 5 PM
  • Friday, Nov. 21st at 3:45 & 7:30 PM

Alexa, Are You Safe for Kids?

A reader recently sent me a great question: “Should I be worried about my kid using Alexa or Google Home?”

It’s a great question, and one I’ve been thinking about more myself lately, especially as these devices become more conversational and, honestly, more human-sounding every day.

Many kids now have smart speakers in their bedrooms to do things like play music, listen to a meditation, or read bedtime stories. Families also use them throughout the house for everything from checking the weather forecast to asking Alexa for help with homework.

But what are the real risks for our kids around these “smart” speakers?

In today's blog, I dig into the concerns and share practical solutions, including simple replacements for when these devices are used at bedtime.
